On this day last year, at roughly 11:45 am, my husband and I said "I do."
There was no white dress.
No tuxedo.
No flowers.
No music.
There did not need to be.
It was simply a pledging of two hearts and souls together for as long as life allows.
I will admit that at times it has been a bumpy ride. My multiplicity and my husband's singularity often clash in ways neither of us expected.
But we keep coming back together to fix it, to figure out what happened, how to make sure both of us have our space and our connection.
I have been through hell and back with this man.
This wonderful, amazing, brilliant man.
He saved me from a lifetime of abuse and scorn from those who saw religion as a weapon and not as the compass it should be.
My Beloved Bearcat, I look forward to so many more years with you in just this manner.
Love, Life, Happiness, Overcoming Obstacles, and Growing Together.
Brightest blessings on this blessed day,
~Moderne~
